The nearest Micro Center is in Overland Park, KS, near Kansas City, and/or up north in St. Paul, MN (each over 3 hours away!). The Des Moines, IA metro sits directly between these two locations via the I35 corridor; which stretches from Minnesota to Texas.

And those kinda suck in terms of selection. Micro Center would probably get a lot of business from people in conventions here in Vegas, especially if the higher ups bought the old Fry's building near South Las Vegas Blvd and the 215 Beltway. Also there's virtually no shops that sell Raspberry Pis locally in Vegas ever since Fry's closed.

I agree! I live in Ponca City Oklahoma and the closest micro center is in Kansas 4 hours away. I end up buying from amazon or Newegg most of the time because I cant justify using up 8 hours and the fuel driving to and from. there are no good pc stores in this area I can shop.

2023年3月10日 · Also, having fewer stores is an advantage for MC. A bestbuy often competes with other best buy locations. Micro center doesn't do that because there are so few. Also, people that drive a decent distance are more likely to buy more because of the sunk cost.

Our options are limited to online shopping, used parts or repair stores. A location in the Central Texas area which has a huge technology following, would be a great investment for Micro Center. The Dallas and Houston locations are great but a three hour drive is just a little to far for a brick and mortar store.

PLEASE COME TO VEGAS YOU GUYS WILL MAKE A KILLING HERE!!!!! I talked to the Micro Center in Texas and suggested there location Fry's was on the 215 South end of town and for sure you'd guys destroy Best Buy as well

The Jacksonville, FL location would essentially put a spot in between the Atlanta area locations and the Miami locations (for people who live near the middle of the two cities). Also, Jacksonville is very populous and has a ton of businesses that would benefit from a store like this.
