Mount Ruapehu rises from the heart of New Zealand’s North Island, located in the Dual World Heritage, Tongariro National Park. In winter, two world-class ski areas operate on Mount Ruapehu - Whakapapa on the northern slopes, and Tūroa on the southern.

Join our mountain-minded community on the regular with a 2025 Whakapapa Season Pass - on sale from March 2025. In 2025, we continue our investment in the next generation of snow sports enthusiasts with our free Season Pass for children aged 10 and under.

We have rental facilities available at Whakapapa, offering ski and snowboard rental equipment, and also warm outerwear. All rentals can be ordered ahead of time and collected on mountain.
