2001年6月3日 · I got the splash shield kit from Ground Up which included the staples. As I remember, I had to drill the holes in the inner fender just a skosh larger to get the staples to fit through. At the same time I was drilling the holes larger, I also drilled through the splash shield to create holes for the staples.

2020年1月13日 · Although, I did see some "very correct" cars (with certification and inspection reports) having splash shield staples installed from the fender well side and bent over in the engine compartment. I cannot find any reference to installation direction in the 1068 AIM.

6 天之前 · Does anyone have a decent picture of how the slash shield on the firewall is attached? This picture is the best I found, but does not show how the bracket on left side is attached. This shows 4 staples attached to the bracket. My original only had one staple in far left location. Any help is appreciated.

2018年7月22日 · Nice photo's and a very good explanation of your process. In the '67 AIM, (at the very beginning) it describes the staple going through the splash shield first, then the legs being bent on the engine side of the inner fender. To me, that makes a more secure method, than the legs of the staple holding the flap.

2006年1月13日 · Getting ready to hang inner fenders, so I'd like to install the splash shields. I have the AIM open, and I just can't picture how the fifth one, driver side under booster, fits and attaches. I've read the archives, and I have a verbal description, but I'd like a visual too.

2003年4月28日 · Bought new splash shields and started installation last Saturday. Pretty straight forward except for one thing. It's afive piece kit and I know where four of them go by what I took off the car. The last piece has me stumped.Its the only piece with a hole in it about one inch in diameter. Looks like it should go under a large washer. Any ideas?
