Open up the galactic community window, the first tab where you see all the resolutions, there is a small little button on the upper right that allows you to customize the galactic fleet. As for building the ships, you build them from any of your star docks just like with a federation fleet.

2022年8月9日 · In summary, the GDF fleet is a fleet available to you, that id both cheaper and better than your own one, without any downsides (aside from losing Custodianship, which you can just Veto). It is likely the single most powerful resolution in the Community and you should use it if you can. 17 votes, 14 comments.

What's the upkeep on that fleet? It's the Galactic Defense Force. I recall no upkeep, since all members of the Galactic Community are supposed to be contributing to it. In this case, nobody pays for it and nobody controls it, since it's bugged.

2022年8月17日 · The galactic community voted me custodian, and I went ahead and pushed the notion of creating a galactic defense force through the senate. The question is: how exactly am I supposed to create/control this galactic fleet?

2021年4月18日 · To build them I selected a shipyard and looked at the ships available for construction. The GDF ships area labeled "GDF" in a manner similar to how federation ships are labeled "Federation". Note that before you start building them you may want to redesign them.

6 天之前 · Galactic Defense Force (GDF for short) is a fleet that can be constructed by the Custodian if they pass the resolution with the same name. GDF fleets do not have any upkeep but are limited to a total Naval Capacity of 400, which may be expanded by resolutions.

2024年9月7日 · I was the custodian and we passed the Galactic Defense Force. I was in the middle of a war and didn't really get a chance to investigate to see how that mechanic works. Is it like federations and members can build fleets for it?

2022年4月18日 · A GDF (Galactic defense force) fleet is a special fleet that can be created by the galactic community through a resolution. Whoever is the custodian of the galactic community controls it (or is supposed to at least, if there is no longer a galactic custodian it apparently becomes neutral and patrol community space).

2021年4月19日 · First, the ketlings were elected custodian. They were able to start the galactic defense force and used it a while, then their time as custodian was up, at which point the galactic defense force became an independent entity. Then, I nominated myself as custodian and got elected, and also got control of the galactic defense force.

2021年6月16日 · On the galactic community main page, in the upper right hand corner their will be a yellow bar that will display the custodian. On the left of that yellow bar will be a ship designer for the gdf. Also, just below the yellow bar is a choose focus option.
