Rates - Housing and Residential Communities
Housing rates are per student, per semester and include the cost of living on campus, and all utilities (water, power, heat/AC, cable television, and wireless internet). Rates are approved by the Board of Trustees of The University of Alabama System.
Residents - Housing and Residential Communities
Your housing contract is for the academic year. If you are planning to study abroad, do a co-op, graduate in December, or leave UA altogether, you will need to submit a Contract Release Request for us to process your housing contract release.
Julia Tutwiler - Housing and Residential Communities
Julia Tutwiler Hall offers residents a fully furnished double-occupancy room with a private bathroom that is only shared with their roommate. There are no single rooms or suites. The hall is located near on-campus dining options like Mary B’s in Burke Hall as well as Julia’s Market, which is conveniently located on the first floor.
Riverside - Housing and Residential Communities
The Riverside community offers residents fully furnished 1, 2, or 4 bedroom suites consisting of a living room, kitchenette and bathrooms in each suite. The hall is located near on-campus dining options like Presidential Terrace, Lakeside Dining, and Lakeside Market.
Presidential Village I - Housing and Residential Communities
Presidential I offers residents fully furnished 2 or 4 bedroom suites consisting of a living room, kitchenette and bathrooms in each suite. The hall is located near on-campus dining options including Presidential Terrace, Lakeside Dining and Lakeside Market.
Bryant - Housing and Residential Communities
Home to student-athletes and freshman engineering students, Bryant Hall offers residents fully furnished 2 or 4 bedroom suites consisting of a living room, kitchenette and bathrooms in each suite. The hall is located near on-campus dining options like Fresh Foods and Stewart’s Corner.
Apply - Housing and Residential Communities
The 2025-2026 housing application for incoming freshmen will open Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 9 a.m. CDT. In order to apply for housing as a new incoming freshman, a student must be admitted to the University and pay the freshman enrollment deposit.
