The Greater Scaup is a striking diving duck known for its rounded head shape, which helps distinguish it from other Scaup species. Both males and females share golden eyes and blue-gray bills, but their plumage differs significantly. Males have a glossy dark green head, with a body featuring shades of gray, white, and black.
