The vet advised giving 1cc of liquid gabapentin mixed in wet food the night before and the morning of a vet visit. This appears to be a 50 mg dose each time.

2017年7月22日 · The gabapentin worked wonderfully for Thomas! We did 100 mg last night at midnight and another 100 mg this morning at 7 am. He was perfectly relaxed for the entire 3.5 hours there, the 2 hour appointment, and the 3.5 hours back. I'll definitely do the same for any future long trips.

2021年7月1日 · It took awhile to get the dosage right, now he gets 1 and 1/2 pills every night. I think they are 50 mg? and I have to get them mailed from Wedgewood Pharmacy because they are so small. Also my vet added Gabapentin, 50 mg, because she said there is a possibility he is in pain from joints. Honestly, Max has been so much better.

2019年5月26日 · I am giving my cat 25 mg of gabapentin every 12 hours, short term, and is incredibly sedating for her... she just sleeps all day. The sleepiness seems to wear off in about 12 hours with my cat. My vet had originally prescribed 50 mg, but the sedation effect is too strong at that dose, so I told my vet I didn't want to do 50 mg.
