2011年6月12日 · Hello, if you are changing a vacume type booster and not the master cylinder then no you won't even have to touch the brake fluid. First unbolt the 2 nut's that hold on the master cylinder to the booster and then slide the master cylinder off of the studs, there is enough flex in the brake lines to let it come off I have done this several times.

Unfortunately there is no special tool and no easy way to remove it. I would contact your local GM dealer and get your hands on a backup clip. I usually break them off and slide a new one on. You almost have to stand on your head and using both hands and two screwdrivers hold the retaining ears up and slide the clip off at the same time.
