2024年9月19日 · Now all of my desktop icons aren't color but blue and white monotone. I found a way to delete the icon cache and restart Windows Explorer. It worked, my icons were back to color. Then there was a popup wanting to start "Windows host process Rundll32. I didn't click Yes, it just ran on its own and all of my icons went back to blue and white.

2023年1月9日 · I have a desktop background wallpaper with lots of sky. My desktop is covered with icons. When I select an icon the background of the icon highlights. The problem is the default highlight color is light blue. Light blue on sky blue is almost impossible to see. I want to change the default color to make the selected icon stand out.

2013年2月8日 · We have Windows 8 now. I`ve been trying to figure out how to get rid of the blue box (outline) that shows on everything I click on, and when I type. It`s so annoying and when I use some applications and games It is in the way. Can someone please help? thank you' Janelle

In the picture above there's a blue arrow with a curve, which I've always associated with a shortcut. In this case a shortcut to the Quicken application. Then in a causal, quick glance at other icons on my desktop I've seen the light blue checkmark, such as is used for Microsoft Teams.
