The cover of the first album by the group Love Song simply bore the group name, and an awesome original illustration by Kerne Erickson, depicting classic sheet music and a beautiful graphic of their logo.

Following up an album as iconic and classic as the first ”Love Song” album is always a daunting task. Several songs that were available when the first album was recorded did not make the cut, but not because they were inferior in any way.

This was always the goal of every Love Song concert, to leave the listener feeling the presence of God, whether by applause directed to God alone, or by the holy stillness that only reverent worship can bring. This re-mastered version of the album marks its 34th anniversary, and the 40th anniversary of the group.

He fell in love with guitar music at an early age and founded several rock bands in the middle1960s, including three bands that were signed to recording contracts. Then he met Jesus, Freddie Piro and Love Song, in that order.

Chuck Girard, singer, songwriter, recording artist, and worship leader, is one of the pioneers of Contemporary Christian Music. He was co-founder and lead singer of the group LoveSong from it’s beginning to the present.

Rounded out by Hadley Hockensmith and Tim Pierce on guitars, and Alan Pasqua on keyboards, the boys had a stellar band to take their songs to the next level. The tracking dates went superbly, with everyone bringing something unique to the table.
