Manchester Cathedral, formally the Cathedral and Collegiate Church of St Mary, St Denys and St George, [1] [a] in Manchester, England, is the mother church of the Anglican Diocese of Manchester, seat of the Bishop of Manchester and the city's parish church.

We serve a large, diverse urban diocese and county with ten towns which includes the two cities of Manchester and Salford. Our vision is to grow and build a community that makes a difference in our society and the wider world through the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today it provides an intriguing visit amongst the hustle and bustle of Manchester’s busy streets, and is one of the best places to explore its medieval past.

Manchester Cathedral is open to visitors from 9.30am - 4pm Monday to Saturday, and 12 - 4pm Sunday. Our guides offer free tours for individuals from Monday to Saturday between 10am - 4pm. As our guides are volunteers we cannot always guarantee their availability or if they will be busy when you arrive.

Our opening times for visits are as follows: Monday to Friday. 9.30am to 4pm. Saturday and Sunday. 12pm to 4pm. Our daily cycle of prayer continues and every service is open to the public. Our weekly service schedule can be found here. Services will continue to be live streamed via Facebook and they are open to all, both near and far. Sundays.
