2022年8月3日 · Mr McBain (66) will be returning to the Dores area of Kinchyle the historic homeland of the MacBean chiefs. The clan is a member of Clan Chattan, a federation of Scottish clans, and on Thursday August 4 in the Lochardil House Hotel, Inverness, the Clan Chattan Association AGM and dinner will be held from 4pm.

Gillies MacBean is particularly remembered for his bravery at the Battle of Culloden. Today there is a fine memorial park for the Clan in its ancestral lands at Kinchyle, overlooking Loch Ness near Dores. Motto: Touch not a catt bot a targe. Clan Badge: Red Whortleberry.
