2022年12月31日 · The cards must be activated within 45 days of purchase to get 30/60/90/180/360 days you purchased with the SIM. However the “expiration date” means the SIM is still good to that date to use to activate on Mint but after the 45 days you must purchase a plan again. So after 45 days until 5/13/25 the SIM essentially works as as trial SIM.

2021年1月25日 · They can’t. All SIM cards on the T-Mobile network have an “activate by” date. If you don’t activate the SIM on the T-Mobile network by that date, you won’t be able to activate it ever. This is not related to the plan itself, just the physical SIM. It’s not Mint’s choice to include that unfortunately.

In the past, people can activate the sim after 45 days of purchase. Now, you can't. That is what I learned from online chat and it is a surprise. Don't know whether that is the first impact from the T-mobile merger. The agent also shared that it is not a new policy, but now Mint will now enforce it on all sim card activations with no exception.
