Found this while looking for something else on youtube. You all know how that rabbit hole goes. Anyway, Thought this was pretty cool, although I think the drone ended up interfering with Mother Nature in the end. Right place/right time.

2024年6月23日 · Last year- and probably this year, I'll carry my .260 with 140 Corelokts for moose- haven't taken one with it yet. It's proven itself on numerous caribou, one wolf, one elk, which proved itself not to be armour plated and 20 feet thick.

2025年1月26日 · Too much at stake to depend on iron sights. Many moose are shot in close to dark conditions and at longer ranges than what sights work at. I'd feel pretty sick looking at a large moose at near dark and not getting a good sight view with iron sights knowing that I'm going home the next day. Just sayin'.

2023年10月10日 · I do not have the potential Of moose size critters where I hunt. So 6mm ARC Bolt action with 22" barrel & 90 grain CX over CFE 223 is where it is at for me. If I knew Moose were a potential as well, then a 22" bolt action 6.5 Grendel with a Hammer offering would likely be my go to option.

2024年11月27日 · Divine intervention being a thing, 4th moose back was across a 65 yard river channel. Moose was 20 yards up the bar from the water's edge. Pard an I was sitting in camp eating late breakfast. Two legal came out, shot the biggest, and it fell towards the water. Jumped in boat, parked, and walked 7 yards to moose. 😎😎😎

2009年2月23日 · I've since killed 18-20 moose with 12 ga. slug, .243, .30-06, .270, .338 Mag. Last year I carried my .260- just for the hell of it- but the moose had other ideas... It had worked just fine on caribou, elk, and wolf the year before.... Appropriate range and bullet placement with the .35 is a done deal.

2009年8月28日 · I have no moose experience, but have quite a bit of experience killing game with .44 and .45 caliber revolvers. I think my first choice would be one of the 300-grain bullets with a good, wide nose. I wouldn't feel terrible using a 250 Keith either. I would want an alloy that was fairly hard, but would not shatter.

2006年5月27日 · BC - my Dad used such a rig last year to take a smallish (38") moose in BC. He used 250 Nosler Part at a "measly" 2400 ft/sec. Shot the moose broadside at ~ 125 yards - it went down, splashed a bit, took another through the boiler room and laid still. Over in ~ 20 seconds. Never found either Nosler at they sailed through.....
