The institution was last reviewed by the COA in February 2017. The next comprehensive team visit will be conducted in the spring of 2021, followed by a COA review for reaffirmation of accreditation in February 2022.

Founded in 1958 as Southwestern School of Missions, IBC is located in north-central Arizona, close to the largest Native American reservation in the United States. The school changed its name to Indian Bible College in 1985, then Indigenous Bible College in 2025.
