3 天之前 · One of several off-highway vehicle (OHV) areas administered by the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) offers visitors recreational activities such as swimming, surfing, surf fishing, camping and hiking.

Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area has 1,500 acres, featuring beach and sand dune riding. Thousands of off-highway vehicle enthusiasts enjoy the beach dunes of this SVRA most weekends during the summer.

Located on California's Central Coast, within the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes complex, Oceano Dunes District manages Pismo State Beach and Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area.

Oceano Dunes SVRA offers a 3,600-acre off road area with over 5 miles of beach open for vehicle use and 1,500 acres of sand dunes available for off highway motor vehicle recreation. Surfing, swimming, surf fishing, horseback riding and bird watching are among the other popular activities at this SVRA.

Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area is the only California State Park that allows non-street-legal vehicles to drive on the beach (see all the beaches that can you can drive on). To enter this five mile long wide sandy beach, just drive west on Pier Avenue in Oceano to an entrance station and parking lot.

Oceano Dunes SVRA offers primitive beach and dune camping among spectacular sand dunes along the Pacific Ocean. There are approximately 250 campsite areas with a potential to have 500 sites depending on operating conditions.
