2021年6月29日 · It might be that the Model S has a particularly bad time accelerating above 100 mph due to aforementioned throttling, so its 60-130 mph is "back-loaded". And the new one might not have that. So the difference in 60-1xx might be minimal but the 1xx-130 makes the difference. Old Model S is capped at 155 and barely approaches it, very slowly.

If you look at the actual data then failure rate is much lower than you might expect from reading the anecdotal reports on social media. For the 2015 Model S the battery replacement rate is around 3.5% of vehicles. So yes I would spend 13k on that car. That being said I would also find a mechanic familiar with Tesla to do a pre buy inspection.

While both cars have the same quoted time of 3.1 seconds 0-60, strangely enough, the Model 3 feels quite a bit faster than the Model S Long Range in my experience. I think part of this is due to the stiffer suspension. The Model S being a smoother ride almost dampens the G force of a launch, at least for me.

What is the refreshed Model S Long Range’s 0-60 time with rollout?
Tesla claims a 1.99-second 0-60 time for the Plaid, which includes rollout. Without rollout, it’s around ~2.15-2.2 seconds from what I gather. The Long Range is rated as 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, but that is from a dead stop. I can’t for the life of me find what it is with rollout subtracted.
