The crack is in the same spot every single time. The cracks are noticed easily by eye when you remove the number 2 and number 4 cam bearing.

2011年9月11日 · Picture one shows 3 distinct cracks which start at the main bolt holes and run towards the cam tunnel, which then the cam bearings no longer have press on them and they literally fall out. Picture 2 shows the cap walk/chatter on the main cap registers.

2020年2月13日 · It just takes some mods to get any of the 335 family 2V heads to work on the Windsor block. It boosts compresion a bit and makes them breath a bit better. I hear it makes a good bit of difference but I've yet to try it.

3 天之前 · A friend of mine had a marine engine, 351 Ford Windsor, freeze up due to not being winterized. Only one freeze plug popped out, so the concern is that the block is cracked. Where would cracking be most likely to occur so that the suspect area can be mag particle inspected?

2005年1月2日 · They use Magnatec oil. Ive seen 2 late model windsor blocks crack through the cam journals and through the pan rails of the block and the whole crank assembly drop out the bottom. It only seems to happen under extreme useage ie: brute ute racing but the racer guys steer clear of late model windsor blocks for this reason if they can...
