How do I withhold my telephone number? | BT Help Try calling 141before the number you want to call to with hold the number. There is an option to permanently with hold your number for all calls you make.

So does anyone know please Do these Advanced Phones not recognise contacts at all and the user guide is wrong? They just don't understand about 1470?
