In 1970 A-bodied car that were equipped with 455 were HO motors and they came with large valve and smaller combustion chambers compared to the full sized cars with 455s. In 1971 the HO motors changed to round port head vs. the d port heads in 1970.

2012年10月3日 · I was originally looking at getting a 70 Chevelle or 69 Firebird, then I saw a 69 GTO and now I want one. However, I don't know the difference between just a regular gto and the judge. I see that the judge cost more and has a wing on the back. What else is the difference and is it worth paying the extra money. I'm looking to restore one.

2024年10月24日 · The second thing that struck me was Chris Jacob's statement that burgundy was a very popular color for 1970 Judges with 1200 of them built. I didn't see the car cross the block so I went to Mecum's site and it failed to meet the reserve. Interestingly, the site referred to it as a GTO, not a Judge. There were not 1200 burgundy Judges built in 1970.

2021年11月5日 · New to the forum but long time Judge fan. My neighbor has finally decided to sell me his 1970 GTO Judge. He has owned the car since the 70s and he says the car is numbers matching and comes with a build sheet. The car is solid, original paint (Burgundy), and what many would consider to be a survivor. Its and original 4 speed car as well.

THAT car was painted Carousel Red, the car was rushed to a photo op't for advertising, the decal package was not in in time for the photo shoot. So the very first GTO Judge, a 1969 shows no fender emblem and shows a different body stripe. The pic below is the first photo of a Judge.
