2025年2月19日 · It took a very minimal amount of effort to get the rifle to shoot the load, it is very accurate (more so than most large caliber rifles I have shot), and it is truly amazing how well it dispatches game. My 28N is a custom rifle, so much of the gain may be in that, but it is there. Most 280s and 7 mags come factory with a 1-9.5 or 1-9.25 twist rate.

2025年2月28日 · My 28N barrel was toast at around 500 rounds, not to mention the carbon rings. 28 Nosler is a hot rod of a round. It can be a finicky round and is probably better suited for a rifle that will be primarily hunting, with just enough practice to make sure you and the rifle are in sync.

A bit longer won't hurt and much longer won't help. Run the ballistic calculators, see if 100 fps plus for this cartridge or minus 200 for that cartridge makes a meaningful difference.

2020年10月7日 · Those that are not self timed, they are usually blended with the barrel. You should be able to insert a punch into the holes and twist off. It should not be put on with that much force, my 28N has a brake and blended in to the barrel, first time I took it off, I used a screwdriver and just put enough force on it to start removing.
