2016年2月13日 · Within the vagaries of products in this class and tube designs in general, it does seem like the replacement 6N3P-E tubes provide much lower mains hum. If hum is an audible concern, then replacing tubes can get you there assuming you have measurements such as this.

2013年9月9日 · This is a great tube, and is one that hasn't been given the credit it deserves, especially in headphones amps. The Russians also made this tube and in a DR rating (Russia best). It is known as 6N3P-DR and 6N3P are often made by Reflector (but also Foton and October). The Western Electric is relatively common and still decently priced.

2017年11月25日 · I did try a few different pairs. Russian 6N3P-EV tubes sounded better for me than the tubes included with the Loxjie and the Russian tubes were plentiful usually less then $15 a pair. The 5670 vintage tubes were easy to find but are a bit more costly. I tried Raytheons, Heintz & Kaufman and General Electric 5-star.

2017年12月31日 · In terms of using 6N3P tubes I would strongly suggest using Russian ones instead of Chinese. One often overlooked feature of the 6N3P is that it's internal design is absolutely symmetrical (two triodes inside the bulb are mirror images of each other).

2016年2月18日 · I have 6N3P-DR tubes as well and so far they are a bit brighter than the GE, though they are somewhat different internally than 6N3P-E. If you want excellent soundstage, very good bass, and super smooth highs, the Western Electric D-getters are awesome.

2013年7月2日 · Assembled another one and tested some Russian tubes (Chinese originally) which to my ears sound better. Listened to FLACs through this and an Audiotailor Jade (OTL) with AKG K400 and it sounds wonderful. Pure tubes all through: 6N3P, 7025 and 6AS7G. The bamboo amps are quiet with no hum problems. Find them very entertaining.
