The Type 11 70 mm infantry mortar, was a muzzle-loading, rifled bore infantry mortar used by the Japanese. [3] [4] The Type 11 designation was given to this gun as it was accepted in the 11th year of Emperor Taishō's reign (1922). It was first used in 1922 and was the first mortar to be introduced by the Imperial Japanese Army.

2015年5月24日 · I thought I'd start a thread on Japanese mortar shells larger than 50mm. I also want to shed light on a rare shell, the 70mm Type 11 (1922) rifled mortar round. Over the years I'm lucky to have found several of these. None of these are excellent but these are really hard to find. It looks like a large Knee mortar T89 shell.
