720i first of all never existed. The i and p stands for interlaced (i) and progressive (p) scans. The interlaced scan does every other line on one frame then goes back and does the opposite set of lines on the next, progressive starts at pixel lines 1 and goes through to the last pixel line before going back to the beginning.

Afaik Henri de France (the guy who invented the infamous "Séquentiel Couleur à Mémoire" or "SÉCAM", sometimes ridiculed into "Surtout Éviter la Compatibilité Avec le Monde") did a few tests with color 819 lines signals, unfortunately it didn't make it out of the prototype phase :(

2011年10月24日 · It is not 720i, it is 720p. There is no such thing as 720i. At least real world, practical applications. 720p is actually higher quality than 1080i -- you only get 540 lines at once with that as opposed to 720p's 720. 2024年5月23日 · 720i is a very rare video signal. Xbox (to my knowledge doesn’t interlace 720) I have no idea what you’re trying to accomplish in the description. Photos would help. Are you asking if you can send a 720p signal through svideo to a cheapy composite to hdmi adapter? You can’t, but I would need more info to assist.
