1997年8月15日 · We now report that AIB1 is a member of the SRC-1 family of nuclear receptor (NR) coactivators, that it is amplified and overexpressed in breast and ovarian cancer cell lines as well as in breast cancer biopsies, that it interacts with estrogen receptor (ER), and that it functions to enhance ER-dependent transcription.

2011年1月1日 · AIB1 is a relatively new oncogene initially described in 1997 as a steroid receptor coactivator, hence linking its function to hormonal response. However, new insights in AIB1 physiology and regulatory mechanisms pointed out other very important aspects that helped to explain how AIB1 exerts its oncogenic capacity.

AIB1(amplified in breast cancer 1)是核激素受体转录共激活因子家族中的一员，又称作SRC-3、ACTR、TRAM-1、RAC3、NCOA3、P／CIP等。 作为新定义的一个原癌基因，它是由anzick SL等在寻找乳腺癌中频繁扩增的基因时最早发现的。

In this study, we identified a novel interacting protein of AIB1, forkhead-box protein G1 (FoxG1), which is an evolutionarily conserved forkhead-box transcriptional corepressor. We show that FoxG1 expression is low in breast cancer cell lines and that low levels of FoxG1 are correlated with a worse prognosis in breast cancer.

《癌基因AIB1促进肺腺癌转移的作用和分子机制》是依托中山大学，由何立儒担任项目负责人的青年科学基金项目。 肺腺癌具有易转移预后差的特点。 AIB1是与多种肿瘤发生发展密切相关的癌基因。 我们前期研究首次发现AIB1的扩增和过表达与局限期肺腺癌的淋巴结转移和不良预后密切相关；预实验检测AIB1在转移期肺腺癌中的表达水平显著高于局限期，提示AIB1异常表达在肺腺癌转移过程中可能发挥重要作用，但其分子机制目前还不清楚。

We found that the transcriptional activity of AIB1, a ligand-dependent ER coactivator and a gene amplified preferentially in ER-positive breast cancers, is enhanced by MAPK phosphorylation. We demonstrate that AIB1 is a phosphoprotein in vivo and can be phosphorylated in vitro by MAPK.
