2019年9月12日 · Group Policy tools use any .admx files contined in the Central Store. The files that in the Central Store are then replicated to all domain controllers in the domain. Copy the contents of C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions from your Windows 10 Machine to Windows domain controller machine folder created earlier (\\domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\policies)

2023年7月26日 · The issue is that Microsoft has been maintaining the XMLs separately unlike with previous versions where ADMX were updated in a single stream for all operating systems. So now above it looks like they have gone back to ONE stream where there is one set of ADMX updated that work for Windows 11, Windows 10 and even the older OS Settings.

When checking the GPOs in Group Policy Management though, I see a lot of "Extra Registry Settings" which would indicate that its missing a admx/adml file ...

2023年1月2日 · Regarding the future design of the Windows Client ADMX files: I cannot tell if the GPO settings for Windows 10 and Windows 11 versions will ever be merged to one set. The product group is still working on this issue but since Windows 10 runs out of support on October 2025, it could happen, that we will have to deal with this until Win 10 EOL.

2024年1月19日 · I want to disable the new version of Teams from auto-startup globally. I have the policy applied on the old version of Teams, but have not been able to locate the policy for the new version. I was able to find the registry entry and disable auto-startup from there, but would like to have the ADMX/ADML for the group policy's.

2019年2月21日 · So yesterday in trying all these out, in turns out that "naviely" ingesting the stock office16.admx has some seriously insidious effect on the whole Intune-Windows MDM environment. The ADMX-ingestion config profile is perpetually stuck in pending status. The custom Office OMA-URI policies config profile also stuck pending.

2019年4月4日 · These .ADMX templates are released as a separate download package so you can manage group policy for Windows 10 clients more easily. This new package includes additional (.ADMX) templates which are not included in the RTM version of Windows 10.

2025年1月31日 · Imported the GPOs using Baseline-ADImport.ps1 but when looking at a few of them in Group Policy Management, they list some "Extra registry settings" which would indicate a missing ADM file in our sysvol or something but there are none included part from SecGuide.admx and MSS-legacy.admx, which I've replace in our store already.
