Daniel Eugene Spivey (born October 14, 1952) is an American retired professional wrestler best known under the ring names "Dangerous" Dan Spivey, Dangerous Dan, The Left Hand Man, Danny Spivey, Mr. America, and Waylon Mercy, initially working under the name Starship Eagle.

Spivey and Hall made their debut as a masked tag-team called American Starship with Spivey being called Eagle and Hall being dubbed Coyote. With their furry boots, massive stature, bright masks and Hulk Hogan-esque T-shirt ripping routine the two men were easy to spot on any card.

2019年2月15日 · At the time, Dusty was the booker for Championship Wrestling of Florida. Dusty paired Spivey up with another youngster named Scott Hall. Together, they were known as ‘American Starship’ with Scott Hall billed as Eagle and Spivey billed as Coyote. Next up, from the Florida territory, American Starship was brought up to the NWA with Dusty Rhodes.

At the time, Rhodes was in charge of Championship Wrestling from Florida and was looking to create all-American, rock 'n' roll-style characters similar to Hulk Hogan. His idea became the tag team American Starship and the men he picked to fill the roles were Dan Spivey and Scott Hall.
