Chapel is the oldest tradition in American higher education. When Baylor was founded in 1845, Chapel was a part of life for students and faculty alike. Chapel has played an integral role in the life of Baylor University since its inception.

Morning and evening options are available for those who live near the embedded chapel locations around Baylor. For twenty-minutes, Monday through Thursday, participants come together with other local residents to pray and sing together using historic and modern liturgies. Students may take either a morning or an evening prayer option.

Undergraduate Baylor students are required to receive two chapel credits in order to graduate. Students must take two semesters of chapel and you may not take two chapels in the same semester. You can take your chapel credits at any time during your undergraduate years but we recommend getting your chapel requirements in the first few semesters.
