If Victoria and the current Royals are your thing: Windsor. Blenheim Palace is Georgian and can be seen in a day by taking the train to Oxford and then a bus to Woodstock.

2024年11月24日 · Not walkable (9 miles) - take Bus S3 from Oxford Station to the Palace Gates (Woodstock)- 1 hour train journey then 40 minute bus ride. Normally you would get a 20% discount for travelling green but not at Christmas as there are special ticketing arrangements in force via Raymond Gubbay (an Agency).

2015年1月7日 · Blenheim Palace is a sight to see. We were there three years ago and enjoyed it. The main level is fantastic. At one point a steam-organ was being played (Here comes the bride!) and just filled the rooms with beauty! (but don't waste your time on the 2nd level.

2023年4月8日 · If you mean the best way to get there- it is either drive - about 30 miles, or a taxi. By transit it is Stagecoach Bus #1 or #2 for a 30 minute journey to Moreton-in-Marsh station then hourly train to Hanborough Station then walk either through the grounds or via Bladon village.

2007年4月17日 · I would go to Blenheim Palace. Get there at opening because you can spend hours there. It truly is fantastic, The Palace, the gardens, the hedge maze, and the butterfly house. We spent the night in Woodstock at a B&B, got there at opening and were there until 4:00pm. We had a great lunch there. You truly won't be disappointed.

2021年11月16日 · Stagecoach Bus 233 operates from Burford via Carterton, Witney and Hanborough Station to Blenheim entrance. This service operates every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday and hourly on Sundays. Stagecoach Bus S3 also runs hourly from Chipping Norton to Blenheim. Note that there is no direct bus service from Bicester to Woodstock.
