If you see the CC4 icon in the task tray, double-click the icon. For Windows 7 or later, if you find the or button on the taskbar, click or button and check if the "CC4" icon is showing. If you don't see the CC4 icon, do the following based on your operating system:

1. Download the ControlCenter4 Update Tool from the Brother website https://support.brother.com . 2. Locate the file you downloaded CC4Updater and double-click on it.

The ControlCenter software for scanning is available as part of the software suite for your machine. To get the software you must install the following based on your computer's operating system:

"CC4-006-0000" when scanning with ControlCenter4. To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:

Windows 7 or earlier: a. Click or Start → (All) Programs → Brother → (Model) → Uninstall. b. The Brother MFL-Pro Uninstaller window will appear.

Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 - Check the computer's network connections. a. On the computer, move your mouse to the lower left corner of the desktop.

Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 - Show hidden files. a. Click on the View tab from the top menu bar. b. In the Show/hide section of the ribbon, place a check next to Hidden items.
