2014年1月5日 · Someone on the hide did a very comprehensive test using most of all the copper solvent removers a bunch of years ago. They weighed copper bullets before, during and after the tests. As I remember they used Hoppe’s, Barnes, Sweets, Montana Extreme, Boretech Elininator, Shooters Choice, Wipeout as well as a few more and KG-12 copper remover.

2010年8月11日 · Is this for cleaning out a rifle bore? If so, I really like Pro-Shot Copper Solvent IV. Been working great for 20 years. If you're cleaning carbon off muzzle devices, gun parts, or something made of steel, I recommend an ultrasonic cleaner with Purple Power. It works awesome for suppressor baffles and BCG's and bolts.

2024年12月21日 · The metal on jacketed bullets is called "gilding metal" and is an alloy of copper and zinc. Jacketed bullets tend to leave fouling in the bore. Ammonia dissolves copper and gilding metal without damaging the steel bore. Apply with a cleaning rod and a jag with a clean cloth patch soaked with ammonia and let it sit for 30 minutes.

2018年5月8日 · I think that Montana extreme copper killer is great. It stinks but it's fast and it does what it is supposed to. You can't leave it in the barrel long, but it is the only thing I found (aside from the foams, never tried them) that would clean a factory .220 swift barrel of copper.

2022年8月24日 · Ammonia works great to remove copper fouling. I have used Sweet's 7.62 for decades, I'm sure Montana Extreme and Bore Tech Copper Remover are very similar. One thing you don't want to do is coat the bore with an Ammonia copper remover and leave it in overnight. It will start to eat into the rifling (etch).
