2014年1月5日 · Someone on the hide did a very comprehensive test using most of all the copper solvent removers a bunch of years ago. They weighed copper bullets before, during and after the tests. As I remember they used Hoppe’s, Barnes, Sweets, Montana Extreme, Boretech Elininator, Shooters Choice, Wipeout as well as a few more and KG-12 copper remover.

If you're cleaning carbon off muzzle devices, gun parts, or something made of steel, I recommend an ultrasonic cleaner with Purple Power. It works awesome for suppressor baffles and BCG's and bolts.

2018年5月8日 · I think that Montana extreme copper killer is great. It stinks but it's fast and it does what it is supposed to. You can't leave it in the barrel long, but it is the only thing I found (aside from the foams, never tried them) that would clean a factory .220 swift barrel of copper.

One thing you don't want to do is coat the bore with an Ammonia copper remover and leave it in overnight. It will start to eat into the rifling (etch).
