M1009 cucv - Survivalist Forum
2011年7月18日 · Had an M1009 CUCV military blazer back in the 1990s. The truck was low mileage with something like 28K on the odometer. Owned that thing for more than a year and in that time, it was only operational for about three weeks. Without doubt that Chevy M1009 was the most unreliable and worst piece of total junk that I've ever owned.

2012年3月7日 · Alright guys here is the deal I currently have a 95 Ram 1500 4x4 standard cab, short bed with canopy. The truck is in good shape though starting to show its age a bit. Locally there is a guy with a CUCV M1009 that he is looking to sell, he won it in a raffle (beat me damn it) and has fixed up...
Which would be a better base for a BOV, M1008 or 1009?
2010年12月29日 · That's been the hardest decision between the two. The comfort level for my family would be a bit better in the M1009, but then again, all the money I would spent on a good D60/14BFF setup could go towards all the other stuff, like extra fuel tanks (looked at a setup on the net that extended the range by adding saddle tanks that would come off a donor junkyard …
BOV/Post SHTF Vehicle | Survivalist Forum
2008年6月9日 · I have looked at several used trucks, ranging from Toyota 4x4s to Chevy S-10 4wds. I have also looked at some surplus CUCV type vehicles (Blazers and Trucks). While a 4cyl gas engine will get the best fuel mileage, a diesel engine can be adapted to run off of homemade bio fuels. What do some of you have for a BOV, or general use vehicle?
