Double Intergration dydx or dxdy | Math Help Forum
2009年11月2日 · Hi, I am confused as to why Type 1 double integration is dydx. As in the attached image, it seems that dx strips are taken first between a and b. However, type 1 integration is dydx thus horizontal strips (dy) are taken first and then vertical dx strips between a and b. This I do not understand.
Finding the area of a double integral using dxdy instead of dydx
2022年3月26日 · I have the solution for this problem using dydx as the area. Worse yet, I cannot find another solution for it. Everyone seems to just magically pick dydx without thinking and naturally this is frustrating as learning the correct choice is 99.9% of the battle... So, I was curious how one might...
Quick Math Q: Evaluate (d^2)/(dxdy) - Physics Forums
2012年3月1日 · I'm looking to evaluate -(d^2)/(dxdy) of F, where F = ax^2+bxy+cy^2 So for dF/dx, I get 2ax+by. For dF/dy, I get bx+2cy. So, multiplying both together and accounting for the negative sign:-[(2ax+by)*(bx+2cy)]= -[2abx^2+4acxy+b^2xy+2bcy^2] The answer is supposed to be -b according to the solution manual (that doesn't show the solution :p)
