The bumper mounted E-Z Pass is an altemative means of using the E-Z Pass system for those vehicles not compatible with the windshield mounted E-Z Pass. The license plate mounted transponder is not optimized for use on the Virginia Toll Road system (toll lane antennas are over the top of the plaza) and may respond more slowly on some vehicles.
