ED-E has a pretty detailed backstory and is your only companion for lonesome road. You also learn a lot about ED-E throughout that DLC. In combat ED-E has a great perk, is a mobile workbench/ammo reloader, can carry stuff, and does some decent damage for a “pet”. If you pair ED-E up with Boone you can breeze through a lot of enemies.

2013年8月19日 · Really, though, the best thing about ED-E is the extended range he gives to your compass. You can snipe enemies from miles away. So since most combat will be resolved before enemies even get close to you, ED-E won't be involved in fights as much as you'd think. So ultimately, the choice between armor and damage doesn't affect that much.

2022年8月29日 · I thought OP is asking if you'd sacrifice ED-E at the end and let the bombs drop, but to get to that point, you actually need to get ED-E. That isn't the bit OP talks about. You literally can't do Lonesome Road without ED-E, but the ending conclusion, sacrifice ED-E or nuke the Legion and NCR, that's what OP means I think.

Well I am one of those unlucky sods that couldn't buy fallout 4 and stuck with New Vegas, still fun game nonetheless, doing a Heavy Weapons Guy playthrough now but that's besides the point. The point is ED-E and his quest upgrades ( not Lonesome Road ). Both upgrades are nice, but can't decide which one to choose.
