ERA5 hourly data on single levels from 1940 to present - Copernicus
2018年6月14日 · ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF reanalysis for the global climate and weather for the past 8 decades. Data is available from 1940 onwards. ERA5 replaces the ERA-Interim reanalysis. Reanalysis combines model data with observations from across the world into a globally complete and consistent dataset using the laws of physics.
ECMWF Reanalysis v5
ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF atmospheric reanalysis of the global climate covering the period from January 1940 to present. ERA5 is produced by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) at ECMWF. ERA5 provides hourly estimates of a large number of atmospheric, land and oceanic climate variables.
Climate reanalysis - Copernicus
ERA5 is the latest climate reanalysis produced by ECMWF, providing hourly data on many atmospheric, land-surface and sea-state parameters together with estimates of uncertainty. ERA5 data are available in the Climate Data Store on regular latitude-longitude grids at 0.25o x 0.25o resolution, with atmospheric parameters on 37 pressure levels.
Complete ERA5 global atmospheric reanalysis
2023年5月25日 · ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF atmospheric reanalysis of the global climate covering the period from January 1940 to present. It is produced by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) at ECMWF and provides hourly estimates of a large number of atmospheric, land and oceanic climate variables.
ERA5 atmospheric reanalysis | Climate Data Guide
2024年9月6日 · ERA5 is the 5th major atmospheric reanalysis produced by ECMWF, following the FGGE reanalysis, ERA-15, ERA-40 and ERA-Interim. The ERA5 dataset provides hourly data on surface and upper-air parameters at roughly 31 km global resolution on 137 levels reaching up …
What is the Copernicus Climate Change Service’s ERA5 reanalysis …
ERA5 is the 5th generation of ECMWF reanalysis. It’s the result of the efforts of dozens of scientists since the 1980s when ECMWF started producing its first reanalyses. In order to fulfill its mission, C3S created the ERA5 dataset as an evolution from ERA-Interim, started in 2006 by ECMWF and covering a period starting in 1975.
ERA5: the new reanalysis of weather and climate data
2017年10月4日 · Results show improved global hydrological and mass balance, reduced biases in precipitation, and refinement of the variability and trends of surface air temperature. The enhanced spatial and temporal resolution enables ERA5 to improve on ERA-Interim for many synoptic situations.
ERA5: data documentation - Copernicus Knowledge Base
Here, we document the ERA5 dataset, which covers the period from January 1940 to the present and continues to be extended forward in near real time. For up to date information on ERA5, please consult the C3S Announcements on the ECMWF forum.
ERA5 reanalysis now available from 1940 - ECMWF
On 7 March 2023, ERA5 reanalysis data for 1940 to 1958 were made publicly available from the Climate Data Store (CDS) of the EU’s Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) implemented by ECMWF. Authorised users can also access those years in ECMWF’s Meteorological Archival and Retrieval System (MARS).
Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society
2020年5月17日 · Within the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), ECMWF is producing the ERA5 reanalysis which, once completed, will embody a detailed record of the global atmosphere, land surface and ocean waves from 1950 onwards. This new reanalysis replaces the ERA-Interim reanalysis (spanning 1979 onwards) which was started in 2006.
