The moat in front of the Excalibur Hotel used to have an animatronic show which featured a fire-breathing dragon emerging from the water and Merlin fighting each other. The show was shut down in 2005, the dragon has been removed but Merlin's house remains.

Mandalay Bay waterways and waterfalls being filled in and demolished, Excalibur Moat also being filled in, NYNY water also being removed, and of course the Mirage is having all its features demolished as well - but that is in part due to hard rock.

2020年12月12日 · It would certainly have been quite a job to remove Merlin, as he’s several times life size and would have required a construction crane to remove. Vegas historian and newscaster Tom Hawley knows for certain that the Excalibur dragon is now reposing under the drawbridge and theorizes that Merlin might be there as well.

From what I know, Merlin has been removed from the hotel and we don't know where he is. Whether or not they'll do anything with Murphy is questionable. It would be cheaper for them to leave him there, considering they already removed the tracks, which means it would take a whole team of people and a lot of money to remove him.

The Excalibur is located at the southwest corner of Tropicana Avenue and the Las Vegas Strip. It is a sparkling white castle complete with moat and drawbridge.
