XFS and ext4 are pretty similar in performance, when looking at all 4. Btrfs is by far the slowest, and ZFS is the fastest if you have enough resources and tune it correctly. Here's my take on Red Hat: XFS is a mature filesystem (much older than ext4) that excels with larger files, such as you'd find more commonly in an enterprise environment.

2021年11月2日 · I wouldn't be surprised if ext4+LVM snapshots turns out slower than btrfs; even in databse workloads. Databases with FS snapshots would be a prime use-case for ZFS though. LVM/MD has raid. And even working parity RAID. I've found it to be quite inflexible though w.r.t. mismatched drive sizes, resizing and adding/removing drives.
