2020年3月20日 · This option seems to trigger with Fn + Q. It switches between 2 different performance modes. The one linked to your first image is called "Performance Mode" and prioritizes performance over power usage. The second one is called "Silent Mode" and prioritizes a lower power use, resulting in less performance, usually making the laptop more silent.

2024年1月20日 · What does the Fn+Q performance modes actually do? The performance modes on lenovo laptops (ideapad in my case) are a bit unintuitive, it's not low and high performance, it's low fan noise and high performance (meaning high fan noise).

2022年3月15日 · Yeah basically it goes to max if it needs to like playing demanding games etc. just saves you having to press fn q I guess. I keep it off as I like to control it manually and often keeping it on auto kicks the fans in to often!

2021年6月20日 · Fn key + Q = red is performance mode. Fn key + Q = white is balanced mode. Fn key + Q = blue is quite mode. (The power button light changes colour, to let you know what mode you are in). Performance mode pushes your machine harder, so it will run hotter and require more fan work and power to cool it.

FN+Q succesfully shows me the lenovo modes cycling through Vantage , Power LED Colour , Symbols appearing on screen backdrop. But my windows power plan still stays the same where ever i have it set on.

2021年7月27日 · The function layer is special - the Lenovo inbuilt keyboard sends a specific keycode when you press fn+q that an external keyboard doesn't know to do. It may be possible to find third party shortcut mapping software that lets you bind fn+q to the right keycode but I'm not sure where to start.
