Elmo is sleeping over at Maria 's apartment (bunking in her dresser) and has woken up early because of his dream. He describes the beautiful sounds he heard like the wind blowing, the tree leaves rustling, and birds chirping. He gets to the car horns honking, waking Maria in the process.

Elmo and Rudy, now donning flamingo hats, are excited to find out that flamingos' nests are made of mud. Nina shows them a video of a flamingo nest, and the two express their envy in song. Elmo then realizes that a baby flamingo in the video they saw is white, not pink, and Fred explains that flamingos change color as they age.
