Award-winner Geum 'Mrs J. Bradshaw' is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with masses of showy, semi-double, rich scarlet orange flowers, 1.5 in. across (4.5cm), appearing in late spring to early summer.

'Mrs. J. Bradshaw' features semi-double, orange-scarlet flowers (to 1.25" across) which appear in loose panicles on sparsely leafed stems rising well above the foliage to a height of 1.5 to 2'. Scalloped foliage mounds up to 15" high with very large, heart-shaped, terminal leaves.

Geum 'Mrs J Bradshaw' produces semi-double red flowers, in contrast with fresh green foliage, from June to September. For best results, grow Geum 'Mrs J Bradshaw' in a cooler part of the garden, in well-drained soil.

2013年5月30日 · I have not been able to discover (perhaps a reader knows?) who ‘Mrs J Bradshaw’ was or is but her namesake has been on the scene for many years. She is a selection or hybrid from Geum chiloense, a species from Chile that was introduced to this country in 1826.
