2021年7月5日 · However the polkit rule shipped w/ gufw assigns exec.allow_gui to that very absolute path and the linked thread had somebody changing the rule to /sbin which is typically a symlink these days so I speculated that polkit might resolve this differently and run eg. /bin/gufw-pkexec which (though the same file) doesn't meet the path requirement.

2018年2月28日 · I'm not in Arch atm but I seem to recall that brings up a Gtk dialogue asking the user to run `sudo gufw` or plain `gufw` instead. As I have already shown, a polkit authentication agent needs to be running before passing the plain `gufw` command to allow the program to be launched under the aegis of polkit, as the developers intend.

I have uninstalled them with the purge command, which according to I saw clean the configurations. Then I reinstalled them: $ sudo apt-get install ufw gufw

2025年1月31日 · So ufw/gufw will set its own rules but not at /etc/nftables.conf from what I understand. I'm still basically a month into Arch/Linux and its been great learning and installing everything with the wiki, but for some reason the security side of things has been confusing for me. How can I switch from nftables to gufw with nftables as the backend?
