2023年12月29日 · The biggest difference between Realforce and HHKBs outside of their layout / form factor is that the HHKB uses an integrated ABS plate with integrated housings and realforce uses a steel plate with separate (ABS?) housings. The impact is that Realforce and other similarly constructed Topre boards are stiffer than HHKB's ABS integrated plate.

2022年10月12日 · HHKB was the first "thoccy" keyboard I ever owned, and despite what people said, the topre completely blew me away (I was using mx cherry red silents before). It just feels so much better than any of my other boards, and the stock sound (classic) sounds like typing with diamond due to the rattle sound of the keycaps.

2021年10月9日 · My HHKB is pretty dang quiet after all of this, and that's exactly what I wanted. If you like the sound of the stock HHKB, but want it to be a little better, I'd recommend lubing and filling the case with foam, those are the two most important mods by far. 2021年7月19日 · The 55g on both keyboards feels differently in a small noticeable degree: on Realforce, it feels like you can push/bottom-out a bit "deeper", whereas on HHKB, the 55g feels a bit more stiff compared to the Realforce, thus making it feel a bit "heavier."That being said, both are tactile enough for me to enjoy.

2018年7月27日 · The HHKB needs to be light so it's all built of plastic, that makes it feels like a toy -- the switches feel loose when typing, the body is easy to slip, and the typing sounds like crap. Although I still like typing on my HHKB.

2020年5月13日 · The HHKB Pro 2 has been around a while, so obviously, many mods are designed for it. The upgraded Hybrid makes many of the mods obsolete though. The biggest upgrades that used to be available via mod only are now available on the Hybrid (Bluetooth and remapping keys).

2021年1月14日 · I have 2 other keyboards in HHKB layout but with MX switches - one with Gazzew Boba U4's and the other with Zealios 67g. I have a HHKB Hybrid Type-S and an HHKB Professional Classic too and I've gotta say, the Hybrid Type-S is my favourite to type on. It's a strange thing to compare them, the Topre switches just feel different to MX switches.

2021年3月24日 · For me, relocating Fn and arrows is an absolute requirement for HHKB (the default arrangement sucks hard). Blanks and printed keycaps are basically the same in real-world usability, but you presumably would develop less muscle memory for seldom used keys.

For example, if you take your laptop on the go and then plug it back in at a later time, and you DON'T type anything (i.e. you plug your laptop back in and you let it fall asleep again), then your HHKB might disconnect.
