2025年2月14日 · Free42 is a re-implementation of the HP-42S Scientific Programmable Calculator and HP-82240 Printer. It is a complete rewrite, not using any HP code. It does not require an HP-42S ROM image.

HP-42S. This small but powerful calculator was designed to be software compatible with the HP-41C. It lacked the HP-41C's expandability but it offered, a two-line dot matrix screen with customizable menus, greater speed, smaller size, and a lower price as compensation.
