2009年5月26日 · This is a "straight on" shot of the mausoleum to highlight the layering of the doorway. I am going to build a rod iron gate out of PVC pipe to go across the lower portion of the entrance. (my 12 year old is lying in the mausoleum to avoid the afternoon sun.)

2017年6月15日 · For the top trim I'm thinking that I will build a frame that's the same size as the Mausoleum to attach the foam to. With the foam attach it will overlaps the top of the Mausoleum like a box lid. I will probably pick up another sheet of 4x8 foam and rip it into 4 strips 1 foot wide and carve out the block as 1 foot squares.

2017年6月29日 · Thanks the blocks pretty much distress when they are cut with a handsaw I added the cracks and holes. The paint was sprayed on latex black from walmart with a sprayer then I skim coated drylok over it letting the black still show through a bit.

So after tossing around a million different ideas I decided on a mausoleum with an open doorway with a scrim so I could do some ghost projections as the centerpiece for my graveyard

2022年10月22日 · Yes, I did make an inside part of the mausoleum. The kids walk through the mausoleum doorway and my main garage door is closed so they get routed around the corner and enter through a side door. I hung up black cloth on clothesline to make the passageway.

2023年10月22日 · Finally got my Mausoleum together today. It required some modest repairs after a bird attack last year. Fortunately, a little black and grey paint and no one will ever know. The real beauty of Halloween decor is age just makes it more realistic.
