While still in Device manager, I opened properties on I2C HID and clicked on the power management tab that only appears if the driver is active and unchecked "Allow this driver to be turned off to save power" and then restarted.

2021年12月13日 · I have tried most of suggested solution. Uninstalling I2C HID driver and reinstalling, downgrading drivers, load default BIOS (it was working great - Unfortunately, it doesn't now), and the last working solution now is unchecking auto detect external USB from BIOS setting :(May be this will be useful for someone.

2022年7月28日 · Today, after pushing the sleep button on the side of the laptop and then pushing it again to wake up the laptop, touch screen completely stopped working. None of the methods mentioned above works. Touch screen function refues to work and device manager always shows that I2C HID device cannot start (code 10).

2023年12月21日 · sometimes when it works, in the I2C HID device properties, I have unticked the setting that allows my laptop to turn it off to save power. The troubleshooter is also of no help, it detects that the I2C is not working, but does not fix the issue. The touchpad settings in settings are missing, and they are also missing in the control panel.

2024年8月10日 · I open Device Manager, locate the I2C HID device, go to View and select Devices by connection, then navigate to the I2C host controller's Properties. There, I disable the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option. After disabling and then enabling the I2C HID device, it starts functioning properly again.

2023年11月11日 · The cable issue does not sound correct. I have OTVOK laptop and I am having exact same issues. Two days back I could disable and reenable the I2C HID device in device manger and it worked. Today I tried that several times and it does not work. I tried uninstall and reboot...same issues.
