However, when i try to search wordpad on my search bar no application shows up. Also i seem to be able to use wordpad to open .docx files if i use "open with".

2024年10月2日 · Microsoft is not about to bring WordPad back. If you have access to a computer with any other Windows than W11 24H2, go to C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories. Copy the whole folder (it's very small, three files) and paste it in the new machine on a location NOT in the Windows folder.

I tried to even send a copy of it from my other computer, no luck with that or trying to download it from some other forum. The closet I get to opening it is it tries to use the old version of MSN. I can open the wordpad documents with notepad & can see the info is still there ...

I found "wordpad.exe" in one of the "C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-wordpad...." folders, but when I try to run it, I get an alert telling me, "This app can't run on your PC." When I search online, web results all say I should be able to simply search & run it from my PC.
