2007年9月14日 · I went in to my hematologist's office for my iron infusion on tuesday.I noticed that the color of the iron was different then what i had been getting in my previous visits.I made it almost to the end of the treatment and i started itching like crazy on my inner thigh.When the iv was done i had to sit for 5-10 min.Wow did it hit me hard!

2011年12月5日 · I have struggled with iron-deficiency anemia for about a decade. My hemoglobin levels bounce around between 6 and 9 and have actually been lower on a few occasions. I began the iron infusion therapy on Friday. Now, granted, when my levels are low, I am tired. However, I slept a lot during the next two days after the infusion.

2007年9月17日 · As far as side effects this board says it all, I would rather you read those posts. I do believe that both are with risk. I was fortunate that my numbers went up and the doctor changed his mind about my infusion. He was not concerned with iron stores just Hgb, I feel he changed his mind because it would be an unnecessary risk for me.

But then the last 5 minutes of the treatment - during the saline flush - it appears as if the IV slipped out of the vein and my arm started turning black and blue and swelling.

That night had pretty intense pain underneath ribcage. ALL underneath. Now getting infusions in hospital at half the amount (62.5 mL) going in 5 1/2 to 6 hours. Just had my ninth infusion.
