2019年7月6日 · Jeep Wrangler V8 factory 304 Jeep did offer a V8 Wrangler CJ mid 70’s to early 80’s if I remember correctly. The engine barely beat the 6 cylinder on overall power, but sounded GREAT! Also made for 1 afternoon SBC swap! The problem was the frame rails cracking. I always boxed the frame anyway, it was no problem with the engine out.

2010年11月8日 · I can easilly list EVERY SINGLE V8 that will work with your AX5.-Well, that about sums up the list.:laugh: The ax5 is waaay too weak to be used with a V8. 2016年2月7日 · My Jeep is heavier and spins taller tires with higher gears, and will walk away from the old school V8. I'm sure the v8 would crawl better if I had an manual like he does, due to the low end torque of the v8, but since you are talking doing an automatic it's a moot point.

2010年8月20日 · For the curious, soon I'll be swapping my '97 TJ's 2.5l for a 5.3l vortec. I'll mate the V8 to an AX15 tranny, or possibly an NV3550 if I can find one and stay within my budget.
