A lot of varied fuckery happened afterwards but that's basically it. Jergal (which Withers 100% is) is the previous god of death, previously holding the combined domains of the three.

2023年8月23日 · So unless Jergal becomes no more, the Dark Urge isn't allowed to die. Besides, when you talk to Withers about all the evil you've done, he basically says the only way to make up for it is to do better.
